FAQ

  • How do I submit? See the “Submission Requirements” page for whatever you’re looking for (Art, Fiction, Poetry, or Nonfiction). Email submissions to imaginariumzine@gmail.com, in standard manuscript format.

  • Do I have to be published to have a chance? Absolutely not! We don’t discriminate; we don’t even check if you have been published before. We’re interested in the quality and content of the writing or art, not name dropping.

  • Do I have to be affiliated with Berkeley to submit? No! We accept submissions from all over, and believe in representing the world of the genre, not just our little magical pocket.

  • What kind of content are you looking for? Anything that doesn’t exist in this dimension of reality. Surprise us! For details, check out our Submissions page.

  • Do students really run the magazine? Yes! Imaginarium is 100% student created and student run.

  • Why don’t you publish mostly in print? Because it costs a lot of money, and kills a lot of trees. Digital publishing is a step into the future, and as a speculative fiction magazine, we love the future. But, we do have print issues available upon request, so we’re not totally forsaking tradition.

  • Can I help? Sure! We’re always accepting donations. Once the first issue is out, the best thing to do will be to purchase the magazine!
